I changed out of all board images, but do not see them in the list (http://www.energialternativa.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl)

Have you set a other pic in the boards setting?
The Mod should display the pic which you have set in the boards or category settings.

- 'By new topic'.

Admin can set the "Last Active Threads"  in  ...
'Admin Center' >> 'Forum Settings' >> 'Postings' >> 'Last Active Threads'
